Sectional Golf

The golf season has ended for the Lady Bulldogs as they had a disappointing day at the Sectional Tournament held in Moberly at Heritage Hills Golf Course. “We have traditionally played well here, but today wasn’t our day,” stated Coach Fessler. The team shot a 472 to place 6th overall. Mackenzie Ray led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with a 108 to place 13th overall, three strokes off of qualifying for the State Tournament. Macy Arp posted a 109 to come in 14th place. “My top two didn’t putt worth a darn today. If they would have, they would be heading to the State Tournament.”  KK Giboney and Krista Cochran rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs as they posted scores of 124 and 131 respectively. “It really stinks that our season is over, but that will just motivate us to work harder next year. We have our whole team back and have high expectations. This team wants to win a district title and move onto State as a team. I think they have the tools, but they will have to put a lot of hard work in the summer. I’m proud of the girls and look forward to see what they can do next year.”
